Computer Training and HelpHere are some of my most popular computer training lessons that my readers have asked for. Feel free to email me if you want or need to learn something and I will be glad to come up with a lesson plan for it. How do you learn best - online or in a traditional classroom setting? Where do you turn when you need computer help? Many go online and use a search engine to find ways of getting computer training or help. Maybe you contact your local Adult education department or community college and take classes in person. Each person learns in a different way. Some people can just read what a computer instructor has written to find help and others need to sit in a classroom where an instructor can teach them face-to-face. Website and Blog Articles

Either way you plan on learning the computer and getting help you will want a way of asking questions to the instructor. Online you should be able to either participate in a message board or forum, leave comments on a blog posts, or send the computer instructor an email to get your questions answered. If you take a local class you will be able to ask your computer questions when the instructor is teaching you but you should also ask for the instructor's email address and phone in case you need specific computer help or get stumped on a lesson. There are pros and cons to both type of learning. You need to pick the type that fits your personality the best and fits into your schedule, your learning style, and your budget. Choosing the right type of computer training for you is important because when you are comfortable with the style of training you will learn more. Online Computer Training Some people might do better with online computer training because they don't have the time to sit in a formal class, they would rather take their time and go through lessons when they have the time, or they would rather not be rushed with the time constraints a traditional computer class might offer. Online computer training has becoming more and more popular because of high-speed Internet access. With high-speed access the lessons will load quickly and cause less frustration. You can also use your own computer and test out what the lessons are telling you to do right on your own computer. With online computer training you have the benefit of being able to work on lessons when you have the time. Do you learn better in the middle of the night? Online training is perfect for you. Even though everyone might be sleeping training doesn't stop for you. You can also repeat lessons over and over until you understand the topic. Instead of trying to learn at the pace as everyone else in the classroom you can learn at your pace. Some people catch on quickly while others take more time. In a classroom setting the fast learners have to wait for the slow learners and vice versa. Traditional Classroom Style Computer Training Computer training in a traditional classroom setting works for a lot of people. You can interact with an instructor who is an expert in their field or specific computer topic and ask questions as you think of them. There is no waiting to get an email back from the instructor. You also get the added benefit of interacting with fellow students who actually can help you learn things the instructor might miss or doesn't have experience in. The downside of a traditional computer course is the time constraints. You have to attend the class when it is available and sometimes that might be hard to work around your busy schedule. You may not learn at the same pace as others in the classroom. Traditional classroom computer training can be expensive as well because you are paying for the instructor to be there in person and you are paying for the school or college to help them with their expenses. Computer Training Conclusion There are benefits and drawbacks to both online and traditional computer training. You really need to choose the type of computer training that will fit your needs and your learning style. |
